Redbank Workshops has started work on a $68 million upgrade of 66 Citytrain cars. 

A total of $8.5 million was allocated from the recent State Budget towards the ongoing upgrade which includes improved lighting for the three car units and new seat and floor covers.

Doors are being repainted yellow to improve visibility and enhance safety. More than 46 million passengers use our Citytrain network each year.
