The two organisations were this week named finalists in the Commitment category of the annual Australian Business Arts Foundation Awards.

Since the inception of the biennial children’s festival in 1992, Citytrain has provided free public transport for around 50,000 children (3 – 8 years) and discounted travel to their parents and carers.

In 2000, its commitment extended to providing a staff member to the Out of the Box office to coordinate school group travel, running additional Citytrain services at peak times and proactive marketing of the event through Citytrain Stations.

Through this commitment, Citytrain has helped the event remain accessible to all parts of the community and contributed to its ongoing success.
