• The concourse and lift to Platforms 1 and 2 were opened to the public on 01/09/2008

Subway

• Subway closed to public on 01/09/2008 to allow for major refurbishment works to commence. For more information refer to the Stage 3 update of the project on this site.

• Precast floor slabs have been erected and topping slab poured
• Erection of the precast lift shaft wall panels has commenced

• Completed foundations and columns to stairs, lift shafts and concourse at northern end of platforms 1 and 2 and adjacent to Railway Ave
• Completed demolition of all structures on platforms 1 and 2
• Completed foundations and rock anchors to shelters on platforms 1 and 2

Recent works include:

• On 07 January, platforms 1 & 2 were closed to passenger trains
• Commencement of foundation works for columns to construct the stairs, lift shaft and concourse on the north end of platforms 1 & 2 
• Demolition on platforms 1 & 2 commenced
• Ticket office commissioned 
• Column foundations were poured on the corner of Westminster Road bridge and Coonan Street
• Foundations laid for the columns to construct the lift shaft at Railway Avenue

• Works commenced on the project on 12 November
• Platforms 3 & 4 were closed to passenger trains
• Commencement of foundation works for columns to construct the stairs, lift shaft and concourse on the north end of platforms 1 & 2 
• Temporary 15 m extension of platform 1 & 2 (south end)
• Excavation work undertaken at the corner of Westminster Road bridge and Coonan Streeet, and scaffolding erected
• S2K Alliance (Abigroup) site office completed
