Conditions of travel

TransLink concessions

From 1 July 2004, TransLink will standardise concessions across all services for those who carry valid concession cards, offering travel at half the adult fare.

Children

5 to 14 years of age (with the exception of students travelling under the school travel assistance scheme and students eligible for the 1/3 rail fares). Children 4 years and under travel free.

Full-time students

Full-time students from approved Queensland schools, TAFEs and universities undertaking Austudy, Abstudy or Youth Allowance approved courses.

Pensioners

Pensioners holding a current Pensioner Concession Card issued by Centrelink or the Department of Veterans' Affairs.

Seniors

Seniors holding a Queensland Seniors Card (not Seniors Discount Card).

Conditions:

All concession ticket holders must be in possession of a valid concession card.
School students travelling on Citytrain services between their home station and school station on school days only are eligible for 1/3 school travel fare.
No concessions on Airtrain fares.
Holders of special passes will continue to receive free travel under the current conditions.
